Mid-Winter

Temperatures this winter have been consistently below freezing. Earlier this season I overheard someone comment, "I hope it warms up to freezing today." This morning along with my morning coffee I looked through my photos for pictures of warm places and below are some I took last November in San Diego. Even though it was fall there it was warm to me.

Sunny morning in San Diego.

Swimming pool, lounge chairs and birds of paradise, how inviting it looks.

Fritz watching me take his picture.

More palm trees at the San Diego airport.

Early morning at the airport. People without hats, coats, gloves, scarves and boots.

Hi sbk --

This winter in Hong Kong has been weird: it started early -- in that it felt like it slipped straight from summer (which was over-long) to winter in November; got colder in parts than last winter; but now may well have ended before mid-February! Indeed, it's warmed up so quickly and much that I really hope that it will get cooler again, and soon.

hi ytsl,

Winter's been a bit different here too. Been cold since mid Nov, lots of snow, no mid winter thaw yet and no very very very cold weather either.
