There is an abandoned stretch of buildings nearby where I've taken lots photos and written about my adventures before. The other day I purchased some Ilford's SFX 200 "black and white camera film with extended red sensitivity for creative photography" and knew the abandoned buildings would be a great place to experiment with this infared film. I used a red filter made of a light red plastic Holga filter and a couple of layers of red transparent plastic and got some dramatic effects on this sunny day. If I can get a red filter that's deep enough the green vegetation should photograph as white. I know I could buy a deep red glass filter for $80 but somehow putting that on an inexpensive plastic Holga doesn't seem right.

The snack bar roof collapsed over the winter.

A run on photo of the old gas station.
