Around Town - Part 1

Depending on how one views things Saturday was a quintessential end of summer or beginning of fall day. Chilly early morning with lots of sun and warmer towards midday. Light weight jacket weather.

Listing maple tree.

The sun was so bright at 8:30 AM it washed out the left side of the photo.

Austere New England buildings. Our local oil company.

Weathervane on the top of one of the oil company buildings.

I am sooooo looking forward to a chilly morning. Haven't had one of those in months!

Re the oil company buildings: what are/were they used for?

hi ytsl,

The oil company buildings are used for storage and offices. The oil tanks and lines are below ground behind the buildings. The buildings were used for grain storage, etc in the old days as the railroad tracks used to go by the larger building.
