Early April 2015

Spring is almost here and after a long cold winter (no January or February short thaw this winter) the tans and browns of mud season are welcome.  It was snowing when I got up yesterday but by mid afternoon it was over and gone. So out I went with my camera for some early spring photos.

Tans and browns tans and browns.

Still frozen snow along this small stream.

Water cascading down a hill over/thru snow.

Sun and fluffy clouds early this morning.

Hi sarah sbk --

In contrast to the winter you had, this past winter in Hong Kong was the mildest I can remember since I moved here in 2007. Also, the Hong Kong Weather Observatory has predicted a record hot summer this year... so over in this part of the world, we definitely believe in global warming! :S

Hi ytsl,

Thanks for commenting. I think in this part of the world the number of days we had below 0 degrees F (-17C) was enough to convince people of global warming. In February we thought 15 degrees F (-9C) was a warm day.
